Flight cancellation - will travel insurance cover my father fell seriously ill?

I had booked a trip to Bali for 15 days starting from in 2 weeks. I also bought travel insurance from ICICI Lombard for 4000 rupees covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, baggage loss etc. Unfortunately, I have to cancel the trip because my father fell seriously ill. My flight tickets cost 50000 and hotel booking was 80000. Will my travel insurance cover these cancellation charges? What documents do I need to submit? The policy says trip cancellation is covered but I am not sure if my reason qualifies. Has anyone claimed for trip cancellation? How much did you get reimbursed?
