Flight cancellation - will travel insurance cover my visa got rejected?

I had booked a trip to Singapore for 10 days starting from next month. I also bought travel insurance from HDFC Ergo for 2000 rupees covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, baggage loss etc. Unfortunately, I have to cancel the trip because my visa got rejected. My flight tickets cost 40000 and hotel booking was 80000. Will my travel insurance cover these cancellation charges? What documents do I need to submit? The policy says trip cancellation is covered but I am not sure if my reason qualifies. Has anyone claimed for trip cancellation? How much did you get reimbursed?
