Car insurance claim for multiple scratches - will NCB be affected?
I met with an accident yesterday ago where my car got multiple scratches. The repair cost is estimated at 30000 rupees. I have comprehensive car insurance from ICICI Lombard with IDV of 10 lakhs. This is my third year of no claim and I have 45% NCB. If I file a claim for this damage, will I lose my NCB? Is it better to pay for the repairs myself to protect my NCB? The premium I am paying is 18000 per year. Please help me decide whether to claim or pay from pocket. Also, how long does the claim settlement process take?
