Car insurance claim for multiple scratches - will NCB be affected?
I met with an accident a week ago ago where my car got multiple scratches. The repair cost is estimated at 35000 rupees. I have comprehensive car insurance from Bajaj Allianz with IDV of 6 lakhs. This is my first year of no claim and I have 35% NCB. If I file a claim for this damage, will I lose my NCB? Is it better to pay for the repairs myself to protect my NCB? The premium I am paying is 8000 per year. Please help me decide whether to claim or pay from pocket. Also, how long does the claim settlement process take?
